JUST ZILCH SENIOR TIME
  • 📅 WHEN: Every Wednesday, 1:00 – 2:30 PM starting 5 March 2025
  • 👵 WHO: Ages 65+ only (please bring a Gold Card or ID)
  • 📍 WHERE: Just Zilch, 248 Featherston Street ​

​Starting 5 March, Just Zilch will be dedicating Wednesday afternoons from 1:00 – 2:30 PM exclusively to seniors aged 65 and over. This special time is designed to create a more comfortable and relaxed experience for seniors, as our regular hours can be very busy, with around 400 people coming through each day.

World Day Of Prayer is happening on Friday, 7th March. You are invited to join in worship and fellowship at your local Church, or you can congregate at the Wesley Broadway Methodist Church at 7pm ~ 264 Broadway Avenue, Palmerston North.

The next Hymn A Long will be held on Sunday, 9th March at 4:30-5:45pm. Followed by the usual Bring and Share Finger Food Fellowship Tea (contributions appreciated). Hymn A Long's are an opportunity to have a good, hearty singalong of your favourite hymns, including some hymn stories along the way.

Open Heaven is a prayer initiative for the collective church, which organises prayer events all throughout Aotearoa. This is an opportunity for churches across to encourage and strengthen one other, and pray for our communities.

Conversations about the Treaty are happening all around us. This is an important opportunity to dive into our shared story so that we know our place to stand and how we can belong, wherever our ancestors came from. This seminar is an opportunity for our faith community to explore the story of the Treaty of Waitangi over two 90-minute video sessions and discussion. Whether you know a lot, or a little, let’s be curious together. Brought to us by Common Grace Aotearoa in partnership with Karuwhā Trust and Te Manu Hononga - the Sir Paul Reeves Centre, we will hear from expert presenters.

Pioneer Ministry will be holding a 3 night revival weekend in the Feilding Civic Centre from March the 14th-16th. We would love to invite local churches in the Manawatu area to partner with us. The revival meeting will be on Friday and Saturday night and on the final night being Sunday 16th of March we will have a combined church service at 7pm focused on worship, sharing a word of encouragement for the local churches with testimonies of what God has done over the weekend.

You will hear from our National Coordinator, Sam Harvey. Sam has been in ministry for 22 years and also leads Bay Vineyard Church in Napier. Sam will share his journey of prayer and the vision for the Pentecost Prayer Initiative.

Join us as we commence our 100 years celebration of our beautiful parish home on Friday evening, 21st March 2025 with a liturgy, followed by drinks and nibbles. Please note: this is an open ticketless invitation.
 
On Saturday, 22nd March we will continue the celebrations with a festival of music, featuring choral groups, organists, pianists, schools, and various church groups – see the draft programme attached. This will also be an opportunity to explore the treasures and history of our magnificent building. Hospitality will be provided throughout the day, including a light lunch provided by members of our parish community.

Coming up on Sunday the 23rd of March is an event in The Square run by some passionate Young Adults from various Churches in the City. The name of this event is ‘Kotahitanga In The Square’, (Kotahitanga meaning unity, togetherness, and solidarity). This will be a community focused outreach event, with free food, outdoor games, worship, and outreach. All churches are welcome. We are also grateful to have the blessing and backing of the Rangitāne iwi for this event, and we would like to honour the Te Awe Awe and Hamilton family for that.
