UNIVERSITY OF OTAGO | Study Theology

The Theology Programme at the University of Otago offers many opportunities for the study of Theology, Biblical Studies, Church History, Ministry, Pastoral Theology (including Chaplaincy) and Māori and Pacific approaches to Christian Theology. You can study either on-campus or across Aotearoa New Zealand through our distance study programme. We are committed to serving Christian communities throughout the country. Semester 2 starts on 13 July.

EQUIPPING WORKSHOPS w/ Greg Trainor 
Hope Vineyard Church is pleased to host Equipping Workshops with Greg Trainor, a respected teacher on spiritual gifts, deliverance, and our authority in Jesus. Greg will lead two practical and faith-building sessions designed to strengthen and encourage believers in ministry and mission. 

Join us for one or both sessions:
  • 9:30am-12:00pm | Spiritual Gifts
    Exploring the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12) and how we can grow in their use to serve and build up the church.
  • 1:00-4:00pm | Doing Deliverance
    A practical teaching on engaging in deliverance ministry—understanding our authority in Christ and how to begin walking in it.

Greg Trainor is a founding Vineyard pastor in Australia, a current high school science teacher, and an experienced leader who continues to equip churches through teaching, mentoring, and ministry training.

EQUIP SERIES | Trauma: Impact & RecoveryThis online seminar introduces genuine trauma-informed practice for those involved in counselling, pastoral care, and community support roles. Speakers for this event include Jeremy Baker, a GP specialising in mental health who has completed a PhD in trauma and scripture, and Rob Pearce, a Life Group leader who shares a powerful testimony of recovery from PTSD following military service.
